Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer any cheaper packages than the one on your pricing page, or mini-sessions?

I'm sorry, I don't. There are a few reasons as to why not, which I won't bore you with, but really the main reason is that it takes some time to 'warm up' during your shoot. The more time that goes by, the more relaxed you'll feel- that's always been my experience, anyway. My priority is making you comfortable and unrushed for the best results. These photos are not just your investment, but a reflection on my work, and cramming it all into a shorter time frame can be stressful for the both of us.

As far as I am aware, I offer one of the best value packages in the industry- taking into consideration my experience, shooting time offered, and the number of final edited images provided. For those who are not photographers; it can be easy to forget about the thousands of dollars worth of camera and equipment expenses, as well as the time after the photoshoot spent on retouching the images.

Without giving away all my secrets, I do use one of the "crème de la crème" Nikon DSLR camera's alongside the most sharpest and desirable lenses. I fully believe that the equipment used goes hand in hand with expertise to produce fine results.

Do you shoot plus size or mature companions?

Yes, yes, yes! I will shoot with anyone regardless of body type, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. I don't have the above in my portfolio currently, simply because none of these categories have booked me yet. I have past experience but these are images I don't have permission to publish on this website. Please rest assured I am a professional, and hopefully you are put at ease by seeing my current work quality and direction. I require you to complete a questionnaire prior to the day, and you can tell me any details I may need to know about yourself, such as your body type and if you will be obstructing your face.

Can you shoot all types of photography setups?

Like most photographers, I have my own style- I adore the timeless aesthetic style and hold vast experience in shooting with natural daylight. If you are seeking a glamour type photoshoot with strobe lights, I may not be the one for you.
Another reason I do not enjoy shooting with artificial lighting because of transportation. With lighting being so delicate and costly, it can make travel not only inconvenient, but unreliable as to whether the equipment will arrive undamaged. Some photographers do it, I personally am uncomfortable taking risks.

Do you offer videography?

At this time, I do not. I may extend my services to offer video content in future!

How far in advance should I book?

As far in advance in as possible! Especially when I am advertising my tours. My tour dates are only confirmed if or when I have reached at least 2-3 confirmed bookings at least 3 weeks in advance. I try to advertise around 5-8 weeks out, so that leaves around a one month window, give or take, for you to get in touch and reserve your photoshoot session. I only carry out 2 photo sessions per day, between 9am-12pm, and 2pm-5pm. This may var by an hour depending on the season and sunrise / sunset times.
For beach shoots, during "golden hour" around sunrise is best- this can be as early as 5am.

Which payment methods do you accept and what is your payment schedule?

I require a 50% deposit to secure your photoshoot, via Bitcoin (+5% fee), CashApp or Venmo, with the remainder due as cash on the day, on arrival. Additional photos or shooting time can be paid electronically via the same above methods.

What is your cancelation and rescheduling policy?

14 days or more prior to your scheduled photoshoot date: Non-refundable, but applicable to a future date, should you wish to reschedule for when I am back in your city.

Under 14 days prior to your scheduled photoshoot date: Non-refundable and non-moveable. If you need to cancel, you are welcome to gift or sell that slot date and time to another provider friend, but they would still need to cover the remaining balance for the shoot.

If I cancel: If I cancel for whatever reason, any money paid is fully refundable or movable (your choice).

Will you provide the photoshoot space?

Indoor: Unfortunately, any studio space fees are not built into my packages. You will need to arrange the indoor space yourself. I have included a list of websites where you can find a space, on my pricing page.

Alternatively, as I hold two sessions per day; I may be able to rent a space for a full day and have the both of you split the cost. This is after consulting with the other companion of the same day and assuming they do not mind having both of your photos taken in the same studio (at different times of course). If we proceed, the studio expenses will be due prior to shoot so I can book it for you, and non-refundable just like the deposit.

For tours, I may consider booking a space for the day and adding a fee to my rate to cover the cost.

Outdoor: I would be happy to shoot outdoors, weather permitting. Please be mindful that incase of bad weather, it is a good idea for you prepare access to an indoor space for backup, should there be extreme outdoor weather.
I do not refund or reschedule for weather reasons, unless it's on a weekend in NYC or Boston, because I will not be at a financial loss due to tour expenses or taking time off from my "regular" job.

When should I book my desired indoor studio space?

Unless the location you book has a free cancellation option, please don't secure a space until I have confirmed my tour. I will reach out when that happens, and it won't be less than 2 weeks prior to our scheduled shooting date.

Can I book an Air B & B for my photo session?

I would say anywhere with ample natural daylight. However, I have noticed some Air BnB owners specifically don't allow photoshoots or want you to acquire permission from them first. Please contact them to find out details prior, or read thoroughly if they have cameras outside or live on the premises. If they don't allow photoshoots or guests and we find out on the day that they have security cameras placed outside or if they live next door watching the foot traffic, it's going to throw a spanner in the works. Something like this rarely happens, but if it does, I cannot add on time for free due to trying to figure out a situation out of my control.

How should I prepare for my shoot prior?

1) Arrive hair and makeup ready. I always advise you to hire a pro- when you look great, you feel great! Not to mention that a pro is usually trained in camera / photoshoot makeup. Please take into consideration the time it takes to have your hair and makeup done, as to not overlap our scheduled start time.

2) Bring as many outfits as you like or have. I recommend overpacking than under packing. We can fully utilize your shooting time to fit in additional outfits, should we have already gone through your initial outfit choices.

3) Remember a strapless bra and nude panties. I find these items are the most common to be forgotten when needed!

4) Please do not fake tan. I can make your skin more sun-kissed during post-processing editing if you desire, but it can be a total nightmare to remove tan streaks when skin retouching.

5) Wear loose clothing on arrival, to avoid any visible marks from tighter clothing.

Can I bring a friend with me?

Unfortunately not, but for good reason. I find that extra people can be a huge distraction for both yourself and myself. Entertaining others who are at the photo session but not being photographed can cause delays and lead to wasted time and less photos for you to choose from. If a friend or family member is bringing you to shoot, please arrange for them to make other plans while we are shooting. It's very awkward and uncomfortable to have to ask this on the day, otherwise.

What if I am late?

While I understand that things happen, I am still running a business and have arranged my schedule accordingly. I give a 15 minute grace period; arriving any later will eat into our shooting time.

I don’t photograph well and am super awkward... Will you help me?

Absolutely! It is the photographers’ job to guide you, and not your job to be a model. I realize that all women are different, and not all poses or the exact same positions will be flattering for everyone. I will work with you to find the best angles and positions for your body type.

Can you get rid of my cellulite and stretch marks? Smooth my skin? How about photoshopping in Brad Pitt standing next to me?

Of course! Minus the last one. We can all use a little magic to bring out our best. Everyone feels very differently on this topic, whether to leave those ‘flaws’ in photos, or to edit them out- I believe that you should have the choice based on what you prefer, and not what is considered right or wrong in today’s society. Skin editing is included in the retouching process such as blemish removal, but large tattoos, should you wish to have them removed, may incur an additional cost due to the editing time. Please see my portfolio for an idea of how I retouch. I like to think it's natural and not cartoon-ish.

Will I get to choose which images I would like edited?

Yes! I understand that these are your images that you will treasure for a lifetime, and therefore you should be the one choosing them. You will receive a copy of your unretouched images and you can list which image numbers you would like to have fully edited as your final images.

When can I expect to receive my final photos?

This is always an important question to ask, no matter which photographer you choose. There are too many horror stories of clients receiving their images a year later, or even never. I will send your unedited images within 2 business days of your shoot. The turnover time for once you've chosen your final images will be 1-3 weeks. Although I may be able to complete them sooner depending on my schedule, I feel like 'fresh eyes' checking back over any flaws while editing always helps.

Do you watermark your photos?

You will receive two copies of your images:
One copy of clear, non-watermarked images with no logo for your ads and website. I understand some advertisement websites ask for non-watermarked, clear images.
And, another copy of your images with my logo at the bottom for social media purposes, should you wish to publish any online. This is to help prevent both my work and your images from being stolen.

Will my photos be shown on your website or your social media accounts?

Yes, but only for images you have chosen as the final edits, unless you give the okay otherwise. As the photographer, I do own rights to the images (as do all photographers) and it is imperative for me to be able to use my work to advertise myself. Your images are never sold to any third parties and I do not use them for commercial purposes to make money from (such as stock images), only for my website portfolio and social media.
